hangover

Drinking is something you are likely to indulge in on many occasions, whether it is a night out or a low-key dinner. Even if you are not planning on having more than one drink or a couple of drinks, you can wake up with a hangover the next day. For most of us who have experienced one, instant hangover relief is something we are likely to seek out immediately.

Have you ever contemplated what the fastest hangover cure is? If you have, then fear not. We are all on the same team here. We have searched high and low and even tried out many quick hangover cures. Some admittedly are quirkier than the others, but when it comes to countering the awful headaches or nausea after a night of drinking, we would try these cures out any day:

1. Drinking Kombucha

Kombucha works great to provide instant hangover relief because it is an electrolyte-based drink and helps rehydrate your body after a night of drinking. This is because a lot of hangover symptoms can be linked back to you being dehydrated.

2. Load up on Ginger

Ginger is the key ingredient to help counteract an upset stomach, which is what makes it one of the fastest ways to cure a hangover. You can consume it in the form of a supplement, in your tea or even just have straight-up ginger-ale.

3. Get that Caffeine In

Caffeine is a holy grail ingredient for most people even when you are not experiencing hangover symptoms, but it does wonders at providing hangover relief as well. Whether you consume it in green tea or an energy drink, caffeine is bound to help get your day kick-started.

4. Gulp some Pickle Juice

Now this one admittedly sounds disgusting for most of us who do not enjoy drinking pickle juice, but this is great hangover cure! The salt in the pickle juice is great for helping with your electrolytes when you are dehydrated after drinking.

5. Move that Body

Getting some exercise is great for instant hangover relief. It does not have to be an intense form of exercise. Just anything really to bring some activity into your state. Even a short walk would suffice to help your body fight the toxins quicker.

6. Take a Cold Shower

Now getting into the shower after waking up with a hangover probably does not sound ideal to someone who cannot find the motivation to even get out of bed. However, the cold water will provide quick relief from a hangover and really help in freshening you up.

7. Have a Virgin Bloody Mary

Instead of drinking more alcohol when you wake up with a hangover, try drinking a virgin Bloody Mary. It is one of the fastest ways to cure a hangover because the tomato juice really helps in replenishing nutrients in your body!

8. Eat those Avocados

Although avocados may have been branded as a pop-culture food item, they are great as a quick hangover cure too. Because they are potent in potassium ingredient-wise, they can help prevent liver damage after a night of drinking as well.

9. Bathe yourself in Mint

The scent of mint is great for countering headaches and nausea, which is why it is also frequently used by people who experience migraines. Smelling some peppermint oil or menthol throughout the day can really be a great hangover cure for that reason alone.

10. Drink some Soup

Soup is the perfect way to get your instant hangover relief. A warm bowl of nutrition with sodium to help electrolyte levels while helping fill your stomach is a great way to settle a queasy stomach after a night of drinking.
